Following on from the earlier piece about UFO flights above Manchester, there have been fresh sightings of unusual aerial activity. On the 7th of March Peter Fairbrother reported seeing a UFO from the window of his house in Denton, Manchester. He was alerted to the fact that something was occurring by a neighbour.
What they witnessed were strange lights in the night time sky. “One was white and the other was orange. The orange light was round and was moving very slowly towards the white one in a controlled horizontal straight line.” As Mr Fairbrother lives near Manchester airport an obvious explanation would be that the light were something to do with aircraft making flights to Manchester. Not so according to Fairbrother, “Living near Manchester Airport and the flight path, we are used to seeing aircraft at night. We are also familiar with low flying police helicopters and are used to the sight and sound of both” he said.
Whatever the cause it appears that something unusual was happing above Manchester that night, because Pete Fairbrother is not the only Mancunian who has come forward about what they witnessed that night. Eagle eyed resident Elizabeth Cookson reported seeing “very bright star-like object to the south of Manchester”. The object was, in her words “moving erratically”.
The mysterious star shaped object is not the only unexplained phenomena that Cookson observed that night. In addition she also reports seeing “up to six flashing lights”, which, like Fairbrother, she is adamant could not be planes. These lights were “moving in lines over the Manchester area”.
All very strange. What is it that makes Manchester such a hotbed of UFO activity? Will we ever find out the truth about these occurrences? These incidents need to be investigated thoroughly, and publicly, and the results need to be made known. This is an issue which must not continue to be brushed under the carpet.
